In this video recording, Pascal Paillier from Zama gave an introduction to homomorphic encryption, including examples of application to machine learning.
Pascal is a researcher and entrepreneur in cryptography, and the CTO at Zama. He has spent the past 25 years inventing new cryptographic techniques for critical industries. From homomorphic encryption to whitebox crypto, Pascal has contributed groundbreaking research in academic and corporate environments.
He is a member of the IACR and ISO, where he contributes to standardization efforts for cryptography. Pascal has authored over 50 academic papers, received “Best Paper Award” at Asiacrypt 2005, and is one of the most widely cited authors in homomorphic encryption. Prior to Zama, Pascal was CEO at CryptoExperts and head of Cryptography Innovation at Gemalto. He holds a PhD in cryptography from Telecom Paris.
